Arctic Circle & Jokkmokk
Our cottage and holiday room are just an hour drive away from the arctic circle. From Arjeplog you drive up the Silvervägen (95) in direction of Norway and will pass the arctic circle. From our holiday room just continue to drive the E45 north in direction of Jokkmokk and you will inevitably pass the arctic circle shortly before Jokkmokk. Probably the most popular attraction of Jokkmokk is the yearly winter market in the beginning of Februrary when people from all over the world come to take part in the traditional market.
Arvidsjaur & Arjeplog
For those who seek more, the next bigger town Arvidsjaur or Arjeplog offer variety. There you will find amongst others a tourist information, a couple of shops, restaurants, pubs, banks, petrol stations, a leisure pool and doctors. The unique Sami town in Arvidsjaur (Lappstaden) or the Silver museum (Silvermuséet) in Arjeplog are definetely worth visiting. There you can learn a lot about the history of the Sami (original inhabitants) and the region. For more information please visit the tourist information!
